Orange Tree WGA Holiday Fundraiser- $3,433

Orange Tree Women’s Golf Association wrapped presents for donations during the days leading up to Christmas at Barnes and Noble on Sand Lake Road and also held their annual basket of cheer raffle at their clubhouse to raise a total of $3,433.  Many thanks to Debbie Austin for heading up these initiatives and her committee of volunteers who helped.

Big Pink Game – $710

Orlando Christian Preparatory’s varsity girl’s volley ball team held their “Big Pink Game” fundraiser on October 13 against Cornerstone Charter Academy raising $710 from merchandise sold (polo shirts, hair ribbons etc with the school logo).   The junior and varsity team came to the cancer center to personally present Dr. Mark Roh and his executive staff with a check. Many thanks to the faculty and students for re-engaging with Women Playing For T.I.M.E. and the Cancer Center.

Dig For A Cure – $4,000

Bishop Moore Catholic High School, located at 3901 Edgewater Dr., 32804, held their annual Dig For a Cure fundraiser.   JV and Varsity girls volley ball teams played against Winter Park High on their home court and raised $4,000. Proceeds from this home game and pink t-shirt sales was donated to the Cancer Center.

During the month of Pink October, Chick-fil-A, South Orange Avenue store, will donate .75 from each large and .50 from each regular size strawberry milkshake sold to UF Health Cancer Center – Orlando Health.

Together We Heal – Arts in Medicine Grand Opening Exhibition

Join us for the Grand Opening of our Annual Art Exhibit, on February 15th at 6:00 p.m. at CityArts Factory at the corner of Orange and Pine in downtown Orlando. This year’s exhibit themed, “Together We Heal”, will showcase over 100 wonderful works created throughout the year by our patients and caregivers.  The exhibit will run 3 weeks.

Spot the Pink Nissan

For the month of October, WPFT will be traveling to their events in a pink wrapped Nissan Kick, courtesy of our friends at Reed Nissan Orlando.  In addition to the wrapped car, Reed Nissan is sponsoring the hole in one for Orange Tree Golf Club’s event in October.  Many thanks to their General Manager, Aaron Hill, and Marketing Director, Nina Sayad, for their continuous partnership with WPFT

Windermere Preparatory School, 6189 Winter Garden Vineland Rd, 34786 will hold their girl’s volley ball team’s Pink Dig Fundraiser on Thursday October 4, 2018.  A portion of their proceeds will benefit the Cancer Support Community at Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center.

Hope Hike Downtown Campus

The annual Hope Hike walk took place this year on the Orlando Health downtown campus at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 5. The event began at the ORMC South Tower Loop on Copeland Drive with the unveiling of the pink vehicles.  After the short program and walk around the Orlando Health campus, a reception took place outside on the third floor labyrinth at the Cancer Center.

Gift Wrapping at Barnes & Noble

Orange Tree Women’s Golf Association will be manning their annual gift wrapping station at the Barnes & Noble book store located at 7900 W. Sand Lake Road. Donations collected will benefit WPFT. Volunteers will be on hand to wrap your purchases everyday from 10:00 am- 6:00 pm December 17th – 21st and from 9am – 12 pm on December 24th.

Piano Play-a-thon – $1,010

The Central Florida Music Teacher’s Association held their annual Play-a-thon event on January 21 raising $1,010 for WPFT. Music students representing Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties played their music on the baby grand piano in the cancer center’s lobby.  Many thanks to event chair, Lydia Blakemore, for partnering with WPFT again.

Panera Bread Pink Ribbon Bagel 100% Day – October 4

For the entire month of October, Central Florida Panera Bread locations will join together for their Pink Ribbon Bagels campaign, and donate .25 from each Pink Ribbon bagel sold to Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center.  In addition, on Friday, October 4, 100% of the proceeds from Pink Ribbon Bagel sales Central Florida area will be donated to the Cancer Center. Customers will be able to preorder their bagels online.

The Hope Movement

Emotions Dance Company, a professional contemporary dance company that focuses on social and environmental awareness through the art of dance, is proud to announce a brand new collaborative production “The Hope Movement.”  The professional contemporary performance is in collaboration with Lakeland’s Florida Dance Theatre and a fundraiser benefit concert for Orlando Health’s Cancer Support Center. The performance will take place on Friday October 4, 2019 and Saturday October 5, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. both nights. The performance will be held at the Orlando Shakespeare’s Mandell Theatre (812 E. Rollins St. Orlando). Tickets are $25 for General Admission and $20 for Students and Seniors (65+). Enjoy an evening inspired by those touched by cancer and the hope they inspire. Partial proceeds from each ticket sold directly benefit the Cancer Support Center at Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center.

Duplicate Bridge Goes Pink

Duplicate Bridge Goes Pink celebrates its eight year of raising over $90,000 since conception on October 29th.  We have changed the date to a Tuesday to accommodate our bridge playing golfers. This year it will again be hosted by  The Country Club of Orlando and they will be preselling Tribute Flags in pink for Breast Cancer, teal for GYN Cancers, lavender for all Cancers and white to represent friends and loved ones have who passed from non cancer illnesses.  Online bridge registration is now open at and Tribute Flags is open at or you can download the form in the column to the right.

Tribute Flags For T.I.M.E.

The Duplicate Bridge committee will once  presell again pink, teal, lavender and white (to honor friends and loved ones who have passed from non cancer illnesses) tribute flags in honor or memory of friends and loved ones.  Flags are $35 each or 4/$100 and will be displayed at their tournament hosted at The Country Club of Orlando on October 29th.  Flags can be purchased at or a form on the back of the registration from can be downloaded from the column to the right.
